January 6, 20179 yr Thailand to export more frozen chicken to Singapore BANGKOK: -- Thailand can now export more chicken to Singapore after the island republic has agreed to allow more Thai companies to export chicken to its country. This was disclosed yesterday by Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Gen Chatchai Sarikalya. He said the Department of Livestock Development (DLD) has revealed that the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) of Singapore has given approval to 20 more Thai factories to export frozen fresh chicken to the country. Singapore allowed Thai imports of cooked chicken meat to Singapore in 2004, even though the DLD had tried to negotiate with Singapore, and invited them to inspect and certify Thai factories for the exports of frozen fresh chicken to Singapore. January 6, 20179 yr That is good news and should help make up for the coming losses in gold exports since the PM has shut down all gold mines in Thailand. In the government brag notes a week or so back it was claimed exports had risen 10% for November and much of that increase was due to gold. "The country's gold exports has grown by a staggering 72%" in recent months they shouted out. In fact that staggering growth was because the Australian owned gold miner Akara was selling off all their available "at mine" gold stocks after PM Prayut had their mine shut down using Article 44. Presumably they did this to make sure no one else could get their grubby hands on it. I hope Thailand's chickens lay a replacement golden egg for them.
