Article 44 to be used to expedite reform and reconciliation work

BANGKOK: -- Article 44 of the interim charter will be enforced to lay out the government’s new structure for reform and reconciliation work and expedite it, said Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam on Monday.

 

He said the Supreme Strategic Committee for Reform and Reconciliation, chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, would convene later this week.

 

Prime Minister Prayut revealed the new structure, which he wrote, last week. It is the first time that reform, reconciliation and national strategy development work will be placed under the same directive of this new ‘supreme’ body. New committees will help oversee and implement each area of work.

Some might call this "supreme" body a politburo. All part of Prayut's 20-year reform plan to create a Chinese-style government?

Reconciliation, at the point of a gun. What could go wrong?

 

The Junta has had total control and power for 2 1/2 years, with no end in sight, and they're just now getting around to reforms and reconciliation?

 

What's the hurry?

I expect the much needed reform of the Royal Thai Police will not even be considered.

You would have to ask the question what has the Coup achieved , nothing , a leopard doesn't change its spots , it may appear docile for the visitors then waits for opportunities.

Song writing singing and now writing laws so many talents. People better conform to reform and reconcile to the national strategy which will be placed under the directive of the new "supreme?" body. I must get out my double speak dictionary and see what they are saying. Impresses the H out of people though. Bafflegab at its best.

Reform - getting what they want.

Reconciliation - getting what they want.

National strategy development work - getting what they want.

New 'supreme' body - getting what they want.
