BAAC-Thailand Post in collaboration to help sell farm products

BANGKOK, 10th January 2017 (NNT) -The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives and Thailand Post are collaborating to help sell products from local farms.

The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives and Thailand Post on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the transportation and the distribution of agricultural produce on behalf of farmers.

Under the newly-signed MOU, Thailand Post will offer farmers the opportunity to have their products sent directly to their clients.

BAAC’s Senior Executive Vice President Apirom Sukprasert said yesterday that the first product to be made available is export-grade Hom Mali rice from the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 harvests.

Mr. Apirom said that all Thailand Post branches will act as distribution points, which will allow the delivery to be completed within five or six days.

He added that it's hoped that the collaboration will enable BAAC to buy as many as five million bags of rice from farmers this year, compared with last year’s purchase of 2.4 million bags.

Is there a real solution to this ??? the weather contributed to the mishap on the quality of rice and of course the winter like they say well it is not here yet,

So the weather pattern do change and if they don't port attention to the weather office prediction they will have the same problems this year 2017.

Now the trick is what to grow to make a living????
