Visa (exempt) run to Ranong: 30 days for Italian and Singaporean passport holders

Featured Replies

We got back a couple of days ago from Ranong where we were given a "30-day visa exempt stamp" in Thailand. We hold an Italian and a Singaporean passport. As Singaporeans used to be given just 15 days until end of 2016 when entering Thailand overland, we thought it might be useful to report it. We took a visa run trip with Fame Tours in Chumphon and went for the "Grand Andaman" pier: all went well except for the delay of the van (about two hours) which had to wait for the customers coming from Koh Tao (strong wind and big waves). That meant we had no time in Myanmar, in the premises of the Grand Andaman Hotel: no big deal to us. Hope this information is of help. Wish you all a great 2017/2560.
