60 day visa

Featured Replies

Hello,

Can I extend a 60 day tourist visa issued in Australia for an extra 30 days stay in Thailand.

Yes, 1,900 Baht at your local immigration office. Apply during the last 30 days of your permission to stay.

And I fixed the topic title :)

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Yes

Thanks and thanks for fixing the spelling. FAT fingers.

Anyone heard anything about Jomtien only issuing 7 days rather than 30 days ?

Have heard 2 reports of this today.

Nope. You would get 30 days unless you do not qualify in which case you would get 7 days to leave the country.

At the discretion of the Immigration Officer ?

Both persons say they have Tourist Visas.

What country are they from? People from certain countries cannot get the 30 day extensions.

UK

Never heard of anyone getting a refusal on a Tourist visa extension.

Were not refused, just told 7 days, not 30.

Was it their first extension (on that visa?)
