Nadia, a five-meter croc, is wrangled back into captivity on Saturday at Nakhon Si Thammarat’s Tha Lad Zoo.

LONDON (Reuters) - U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said NATO was obsolete because it had not defended against terror attacks, but that the military alliance was still very important to him, The Times of London reported.

New charter now in force

BANGKOK: -- The interim constitution, with revised amendment to the King's obligation to appoint a regent when he is out of the kingdom or is unable to execute his duties, was endorsed by the King yesterday.

 

The new constitution becomes effective today, one day after announcement was made in the Royal Gazette Sunday.

 

The royal endorsement of the fourth revised interim Constitution was published on the Royal Gazette and officially released yesterday.

 

Under Section 3 of the new constitution, it says that in case that the King is out of the kingdom, or in case that he is unable to execute his duties, the king is not obliged to appoint or not to appoint a regent to act on his behalf.

 

Royal appointment of the regent will be countersigned by the president of the National Legislative Assembly, the Royal Gazette said.
