The gold rush was mainly prompted by a words of mouth circulating in the district that several villagers who make a living by panning for gold in Klong Thong in Ban Paron have found more gold after the recent flooding. One of the gold hunters, 43-year old Prayong Netsongsri, said that he was quite lucky two days ago. If he received only 35k ThB then it would have been less than 30 grammes assuming he got a fair deal/

Is about 1,129 US dollars. So just over a troy ounce - I wouldn't chuck my job in if that is the largest nugget found in the area.
