geovalin
Two construction workers in Phnom Penh’s Daun Penh district were charged with premeditated murder after they allegedly killed their supervisor. Phnom Penh municipal police officer Ly Sarith identified the two suspects as 29-year-old Chim Sophanna from Kratie province and 32-year-old Chhoeun Sokhim from Takeo province. Both were sent to prison by the investigating judge pending further investigation and the subsequent trial. “Based on their charges, if they’re found guilty by the court they can be punished with life imprisonment,” he told Khmer Times yesterday, adding that the duo were charged under article 200 of the Criminal Code. The pair reportedly strangled construction supervisor Thun Saroeum, 33, and then threw his body off the fourth floor of an apartment construction site in Boeung Raing commune on Saturday. Mr. Sophanna was arrested the next day while Mr. Sokhim was arrested on Monday. read more http://www.khmertimeskh.com/news/34537/two-charged-with-strangling-boss/ -- © Copyright Khmer Times 20/
