PATTAYA:--A suspected sewage overflow has killed fish and sent noxious fumes over an East Pattaya neighborhood.

 

Reporters responded to complaints posted by a foreign resident to an online forum about the canal off Sukhumvit Soi 2 near Jittapawan College Jan. 11 following recent rain and flooding.

 

There wasn’t much rubbish in the canal, but there were a lot of dead fish, some were rotting and sending strong odors over homes nearby.

 

An unidentified foreign resident said recently a quantity of “black water” suspected to be wastewater flowed from an unknown source into the canal.
