January 20, 20179 yr I have a question about turning one chaote into two. If you have a plot of land with a large house on it, and you want to split the land and house in two so as to create two properties, can you convert one chanote into two? If so, anyone knows what the cost would be?
January 20, 20179 yr Yes you can, subject to a few provisos. Cost is a few thousand baht. A recent survey of half a rai in the On Nut area cost just under 7,000 baht. Waiting time was 2 months.
January 20, 20179 yr yes can be done through the local office, but takes a while, but you can build another property without the split
January 21, 20179 yr Author Thank you for your feedback. My friend abroad has a huge house here in Thailand that is hard to sell as a single unit. Spitting it in two would make it easier to sell, but he worried that it would be very complicated and expensive in terms of the necessary official documentation. Good to hear it is doable and not extremely expensive.
