Trump signs order for tighter vetting to prevent terrorism

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday signed an executive order he said would impose tighter vetting to prevent foreign terrorists from entering the United States.

"I'm establishing new vetting measures to keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States of America," Trump said at Pentagon ceremony. "We only want to admit those into our country who will support our country and love deeply our people," he said.

Trump also signed an order he said would begin the rebuilding of the U.S. military by "developing a plan for new planes, new ships, new resources and new tools for our men and women in uniform."

I would have to agree...but many just see the image, the package, the persona of arrogance.  Remember Jessie and Arnold actually did a good job in some areas... Maybe he will listen to his advisors (another loaded issue).  Free James Brown...

Since most terrorist acts in the US are by white males, when are we going to see the vetting of them?

He bans refugees and calls for "extreme vetting for people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen - yup, that'll keep them out and put an end to terrorism:

Good job President Trump, keep it up.  Some day the Democrats will get over being knocked from power, and I am even sure a few will admit that the US needs to exert more power than it has for the last 8 years.

An now down to the real order of business to spend the money on the military that has been cut from all other worthy projects. Ah yes there was indeed a method to his madness. Buy LMT now its a good price and due to shine in the future. Lockheed Martin is their name and weapons is their game.

And even better job protecting your business interests, Mr. President. Not one of the predominantly Muslim nations where you do business has had the ban applied to it. No one would ever say that your interest in your own financial security trumps your interest in national security.

This is why Trump wants extreme vetting - they arrive with no papers or ID.

 

Extreme vetting?  I predict that we will find that visa applications for our Thai wives/husbands/family will change from being difficult, complex and time-consuming to being REALLY REALLY REALLY difficult, complex and time-consuming. 

 

None of this nonsense will make us any safer of course.

Yes, this is a real problem and will almost certainly lead to more terrorist attacks......   in Europe!

 

The US already has a most thorough vetting process for refugees that can take up to 2 years.
