DPM Wisanu calls on state agencies to stand down over Rolls Royce Briberies

BANGKOK:-- Deputy Prime Minister Wisanu Krua-ngam yesterday called on state enterprises and government agencies to stand down and let only the National Anti Corruption Commission (NACC) coordinate the UK-based Serious Fraud Office (SFO) for information on Rolls Royce's bribery paid to Thai corrupt officials.

His comment came after report of the overlapping of responsibilities of several departments that have petitioned the SFO for information on briberies.

Dr Wisanu stated that this has resulted in criticism that there was a significant amount of confusion and lack of coordination by Thai officials.

He said the matter has been compounded by the fact that some confidential details released earlier by the SFO had been made public which is very unprofessional. As such, he has advised all departments to stand-down and allow the NAAC to do its job.

Considering that at the time the bribery took place there were at least four Air Force generals sitting on the board of Thai Airways(*) would someone like to bet on the outcome of this "investigation"?

But wait! I thought all this **** started when Thaksin was elected for the first time!?

It's easier to cover up when only one channel is involved. :coffee1:

What a gopping little weasel this creature is, unfortunately they seem to have a production line for morally corrupt gibberish talkers who can keep a straight face whilst lying through their back teeth....

The cover up has started in earnest. Which can only mean the boys at the top end of town are starting to feel the squeeze.

Don't want names coming out.

Clearly this chap wear several layers of shame-proof clothing, and a few splashes of that new cologne, "Irony".

Time for some defamation suits, just to silence everyone.

Oh, and maybe muzzle the press some more?

Name and shame, that's what is needed from the self proclaimed hero of anti-corruption, nothing less will do...

Case closed.

I think someone wants Thailand to be at the bottom of the 'corruption list'. Well, I mean, they want to be No.1 at everything else why not corruption? But the one with most nerve is the guy doing his 'Friday night speech' with 'one law for all' and 'If you know someone is doing wrong, report them' etc etc etc.

Does anyone know of any other Government anywhere, which creates so much CONFUSION, LACK of COORDINATION, and MISUNDERSTANDINGS, as this one?  Thank God everything is TRANSPARENT as otherwise we would all be in the dark.

Sounds like another day at the office. Business as usual. Next case.

The thing wrong with so called transparency is that sometimes we see things we were never intended to see thus I do not believe in its existence. The other side of the coin is if we are given a transparent view of something they want us to see something totally misleading and false.

If I was you mate I would not let the UK Serious Fraud Office (SFO) any where near Thailand

as the lot of you top brass would go down

They know what they are doing, you do not!

thats a big word he knows nothing about

It was done to give you a message!
