BANGKOK, 30 January 2017 (NNT) - The government is planning to appoint a number of specialists to help steer its national reform efforts forward.

Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Suvit Maesincee, who acts as the Secretary-General of the committee for national administration within the framework of national reform, national strategy, and reconciliation, said that Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha will deliver his policy to all at a meeting of the committee on January 30.

Mr. Suvit said that participants at the meeting will also include permanent secretaries of every ministry, who will hear how the PM has planned the framework of the national reform strategies and reconciliation.

He added that all ministries will be asked to present their own versions of the 20-year national reform strategy while the meeting will also see the appointment of a “Mister Reform”, who will work collaboratively with the committee in promoting the implementation of the agenda.

The agenda has already been plotted. More than one minister requires reform schooling.

Only candidates with previous evangelical experience need apply!  Robes and other required paraphernalia not provided!

Don't we have enough plotting already? we need a minister to Un-plot

the mass they have now, never minds the future......

Panic on board! Has someone any idea of reform?

More appointments, more committees, something accomplished? No.

The word "appoint" is always the problem. You can't actually reform by diktat. It requires willing participation.

They are plotting to do nothing other than talk, waste time and line their pockets.  The future of Thailand looks rather bleak.

I presume they are appointing what would normally be called a Reform Minister" or is Minister Reform the same as Minister Prime, Minister Finance and Minister Transport?

"He added that all ministries will be asked to present their own versions of the 20-year national reform strategy while the meeting will also see the appointment of a “Mister Reform”, who will work collaboratively with the committee in promoting the implementation of the agenda."

Yes, Prime  Minister.........

I wonder how many business cards he is able to carry at one time

Well, they did say they had a "20 Year Plan".

Will he be in charge over sex changes?

Why not reform ministers into, creative, functional, law-abiding, non corrupt experts as servants of all people. AA and waterboarding may come in handy.

at some point the use of the same old Boogeyman... doesn't work anymore.

it gets tired. and it's all 100% moot and a waste of time.

misdirection. reform is what is needed. more reform. a Ministry of Reform.... it's all but over.

reform.

as long as you insist on the teaching of a dialect which functions only for speaking and listening, and never shows any sign of evolving into an externalization that functions for literacy as well..... we will hear more and more about reform, the need for spending more money on "education"..... and how great it is to be Thai. that, and disrespecting original work by not only not punishing plagiarism... but basing the whole system on verbatim copying and memorization... great for producing medical doctors... but not workers and citizens for the 21st Century.

unfortunately the USA is becoming the same way.  Iran as the boogeyman.... instead of Saudi Arabia.... and Dems? Leonardo DiCaprio and Al Gore with their ice slowing melting in Greenland... instead of the 5 meters of salt water held back by ice shelves in West Antarctica.

it's real obvious.

"Minister of Reform" sounds like it was on Orwell's short-list for potential ministries?

Or something out of a Monty Python skit.

Promoting or enforcing that is the question.

You just can't buy these comedy articles abroad. This is magnificent stuff. A PM that has done nothing but produce stupid TV shows and allowing the Immigration Cowboys to work in harmony. A destroyed tourism nation was the result of his failed tender. He has a tattoo I hate falang. As for his newly created reform kindergarten brigade please what a joke. Another bullshit decoy to delay and earn cash. Maybe Preecha has another government construction project he wants his son with earing in his nose and blue hair to tender successfuly.  Either way there are not going to be any reforms under this pretend leadership.

At this rate everyone will be employed by the Thai government.

'... plot the future.' Plot seems appropriate.
