Alleged Lao drug kingpin’s Facebook account depicts luxury-car lifestyle

The Facebook account of Xaysana Keopimpha, an alleged drug warlord who was arrested in Bangkok last month, appears to show only sporadic activity, with his latest post being an update of his profile photo on December 19.

 

However, the few photos that he has posted on Facebook would raise eyebrows, including selfies taken with luxury cars such as Lamborghinis and Mercedes-Benzes, which appear to have been taken at his house in Laos.

 

In other photos, he is shown with other people surrounded by more luxury vehicles, including one in which he sat in one of the cars wearing a sleeveless T-shirt showing tattoos on both arms.

They should check the owners of some of the equipment that was parked at the dam at Mae Suai the other weekend Lamborginies Porsches Mustang Im sure they were all battlers ! and our Mazda

And what about all the hi-so who allegedly he knocks around with have received expensive gifts from him and even worse, again allegedly, help to shelter and gave assistance to while he was on the run?

Corruption kills. Govenment people are killed quite often and have people killed just as frequently. They are usually the reason these drug traffickers are getting away with doing what they're doing. Get rid of the corruption and enforce laws instead of face value wrist slaps. That would save far more lives.

no difference at all, in fact I would say that government officials head monks etc are worse because they are the people who are in the public eye and should ne leading by example and displaying the utmost integrity, it is probably also worth mentioning that due to the huge sums involved in drugs there will be quite a few officials involved both local and national at all levels, I thought that was obvious, they are all criminals and should be dealt with severely

Not a damn thing really. Absolute corruption corrupts absolutely. 

Wow,tattoos on "both"arms.Must be really tough.

A 5 year investigation to catch this man?  They would catch a lot more if they just noted anyone who appeared to have unusual wealth  and asked them to explain where it all came from.  Depending on their explanations, the taxman could also be brought into play, although we never seem to hear of that happening.  Anyone unable to explain where their wealth originated (within reason) should be automatically deemed to have been involved in illegal activity and have it confiscated before serving appropriate jail time. Assets held by family members should of course be included in the investigation.

 

Having seen the list of declared assets by cabinet members a few days ago, with the lowest being 28 million bahts, and the highest being 1.3 billion, the investigations could start there.  Hope springs eternal!  

 

By the way, has the errant abbot been arrested yet and if not, what is the latest reason for the delay or indefinite postponement?

And still no mention here of the link with a famous bike rider and his celebrity actress wife; it's all over the papers and tv.
