But what I am really seeking is a broad world-wide perspective as opposed to a "Thai-Visa-centric" (if that's a word) perspective. This is a sub forum of Photography and the Arts. I have opened (at least temporarily) a topic " Universal Photography Discussion Group " in the above sub forum and have pinned it. Specialised subjects (portrait, sports etc.)? Try the forums at DPreview. Gear-centric but many other categories. Flickr has groups which cover many aspects.
