Police poised to seize 20 supercars over links to drug-trafficking network

BANGKOK: --POLICE ARE preparing to seize more than 20 supercars for examination on suspicion that they might be related to ill-gotten gains from drug trafficking.

“We are in the process of gathering evidence,” Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB) chief Pol Lt-General Sommai Kongwisaisuk said yesterday. “Each of these vehicles is worth more than Bt20 million.”

Police have already taken custody of a Lamborghini Gallardo SuperLeggera, which the famous motorcycle racer Akarakit “Benz Racing” Worarojcharoendet claimed belonged to him.

Pol Maj-General Chatree Paisansilp, a deputy chief of the NSB, said Akarakit’s information contradicted the statement of Nattapon Nakkam, who was arrested earlier this month for allegedly facilitating a drug-trafficking ring connected to high-profile Lao man Xaysana Keopimpha.

I can't wait for the auction where those cars will put on the chopping block

and for the same guys. or their proxy, to buy them back and some stupid prices

and thus putting money into the government's empty coffers....

Will one of those cars be a pink Bentley? I look forward to a fair and open auction with the proceeds going back into healthcare and education for all Thais.

Preparing to seize, stop talking about it.

Get up got on and do it. Why give them time to hide things.

So funny to announce before.

Do they go into auction.  Or just some official s garage

back home they go knocking down doors at 5am.

here they have a press conference to announce their plan.

truly a professional police force, the pride of thailand.

You know I've wondered for some time just what happens to all these cars and other "assets seized" on various suspicions. Are such seizures confirmed by prosecutions, are they returned, or perhaps "otherwise disposed off?"

Go to the customs department and look in the car park.

This case is getting bigger than Ben Hur....or so the police would have everyone believe.....

IMO, the whole affair will come to very little...just a lot of hot air being pumped out by the RTP.....all a massive PR campaign!

Sold to that honest guy, who is a friend of the dishonest, guy twice removed!

Well I suppose that if you have to mince around in white slacks and a blue blazer you deserve a car which goes with them...

Officer for once i parked overnight on the street and now it's gone i will have to claim on my insurance, lots of Supercar spares about to hit the market apart from chassis and engine blocks:whistling:.

POLICE ARE preparing to seize more than 20 supercars... to distribute them to high-ranking officials along with a lifetime supply of high-octane fuel from PTT. vroom vroom!

Papa Smurf will get a new toy

Good of them to let them know before they seize them.

auction by sealed bids?

Police will be able to hold their own gumball rally soon !!

They will make a nice and easy replacement for these boring unfashionable Boxer motorbikes

Well it goes without saying who will get the carsTIT

Narcotic suppression police to seize over 20 luxury cars suspected to link to Xaysana drug syndicate

BANGKOK: -- Narcotic Suppression Bureau and Anti-Money Laundering Office authorities are now in the process of tracing the owners of more than 20 luxury vehicles they believed to be connected to the Laotion drug kingpin Xaysana Kaewpimpa syndicate as investigation into the real owner of the Lamborghini sports car turned to be "Boy" Nattapol Nak-udom, not "Benz Racing" or Akarakit Worarojchroendet, a well-known car racer and husband of TV star Napapa “Pat” Tantrakul.

The Laotian drug kingpin Xaysana who was arrested at Suvarnabhumi airport last month was suspected to launder drug money in the luxury car business.

The tracing of these suspecious luxury cars in several provinces surfaced after police remain skeptical about claim by Benz Racing that he owned the Lamborghini car.

Benz claimed he borrowed 6 million baht from Boy to buy the car.

Narcotic suppression police are awaiting for Benz to produce borrowing document to prove his claim.

But so far he still could not validate his claim.

Boy was arrested on drug charge and was a key member of the Xaysana drug trafficking syndicate in Thailand.

Questioning of Boy revealed that he is the real owner of the Lamborghini car but used Benz Racing as official owner  because he has arrest warrant issued by the police thus has to use the name of other to buy the car.

Narcotic police invited former MP of the Pheu Thai Party Phai Lik, alais as ‘Phai One-Point’, a used luxury car dealer for questioning yesterday about the Lamborghini car after his name was found to get involved in the car purchase deal.

I am sure the money returned will be watered down a bit. Expenses.

While they are at it why don't they also announce when and where they will carry out this secret? Imbeciles.
