Repair of ceiling fan

Numchai don't just service/repair thing bought from them. They repaired my oven which was bought overseas.

Certainly worth asking at the repairs office.

You haven't said what the problem is, but IME it's usually something to do with the motor or switches (so, probably new brushes or switches needed). These sort of repairs are easily carried out at the small repair shops you see in many side streets - usually have broken washing machines/cookers/fridges piled up out front.

There's more than a couple of them in Soi Siam CC for example.

You really don't buy anything here, it is really a rental since things just don't last

I moved here in 2005. There are 5 ceiling fans in my house that were installed when we moved in. I've never needed to have any of them repaired.

Floor fans and wall fans - that's another matter.

(I hope I haven't tempted fate).

I've had massive problems with my ceiling fans.  They were not cheap, but I guess the manufacturer had just switched manufacturers for the motors.  The new Chinese one did a horrible job and the company replaced all motors over the next few years for me.  They've worked pretty good since then, except for the remotes.  3 out of 5 have failed.  Easily replaced.

Numchai is a good place to try for repairs.

I got it done in a little shop by Tescos on Thepprasit Road.

It's by the exit from those outlet shops that never seem to have custom.

There a glazer & bug screen shop next door.

Took 24 hrs & 700THB

They had a load of old tellys & washing machines littering the place.
