A question I forgot to ask - can anyone advise the fee for the 1 year extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai. I don't want to drive miles to Immigration, fill up the car and have a meal on the way only to later find that I don't have enough cash left in my pocket - that could be awkward!. I've hunted and googled but cannot see it anywhere.

The fee for all extensions is 1900 baht.

Note, tho, on top of that you might want to get a single Re-Entry permit, baht 1,000, just in case of travel outside Thailand.

All the more reason to do this, I think, since the re-entry permit office at Suvarnabhumi has now relocated back from what turned out to be a temporary and easy-to-find office in the main departures hall to its previous hard-to-find location airside of Security - as referred to in this thread on the Suvarnabhumi forum:-
