4MyEgo
We stayed at Bualinn Resort, its a little out of town, i.e. you will need a car or motorbike to get to town, that or book a skylab/taxi, but great if you have wheels. It very affordable, clean, modern and quiet, has a pool, and breakfast is basic, but good. I think we paid around 800 baht a night, get a room off the ground floor as the pool is directly in front of the ground floor units, the building being an L-shape, limited if any English, great if you have a Thai partner or speak Thai. It is off the main road, so maybe a little tricky to get into the street if you miss it. Plenty of parking, would stay again. Good Luck
rak sa_ngop
There is a resort type hotel just opposite the railway station. Swimming pool and OK cabin accommodation. Check it out on booking, com. Getting in and out of town is easy with the tuk-tuks at the station. The only downside was that there were NO English satellite channels. Maybe that has changed now. Don't bother with the big hotel on the highway in town. It's turning into a dump.

EXSUB64
I stayed at Nong Khai City hotel for 3 nights. Nothing wrong with the place for the money. Whilst there go and eat at Jingjoes, 1 min walk away. Run by Aussie guy and his thai wife. The food is very good as is the serviceSent from my SM-J710F using Thaivisa Connect mobile app
