Picture: Thairath KRABI: -- Two Hungarian tourists were in raptures as netizens praised the honesty of a commendable Krabi taxi driver who handed back a wallet containing a whopping 100,000 baht in cash. Thai Rath reported that the chauffeur exhibiting the milk of human kindness and saving the day for Thai tourism on this occasion was humble driver Donloh Senhanuman. Donloh is a hard working cabbie in the Ao Nang beach area of Krabi. Late last week he kindly took two Hungarians to the airport for just 500 baht but only realized later in the day that they had mislaid a pink wallet he found on the floor by the back seat. Donloh saw the wallet as he cleaned his cab making it spick and span for the next customers at his rank near a hotel in the popular resort area. Inside the lost wallet he found the IDs of the couple - 38 year old David Kuhnel-Szabo and 24 year old Vivien Sulyok. Donloh then found 50,400 baht in Thai money and almost the same again in Hungarian notes. He went home and asked his wife what to do. They tried to contact the Hungarian Embassy without success. So they called the deputy governor in their hometown of Songkhla who they knew and he put the wheels in motion by contacting the Tourism Authority of Thailand on their behalf. Eventually the tourists, from Budapest, were tracked down to Koh Samui and were overjoyed on hearing the news that their cash, IDs and a credit card were safe and sound. They planned to travel back to Krabi themselves to pick up their belongings. Thai Rath reported that it was a great story for tourism in Krabi and the image of tourism in Thailand as a whole with everyone pulling out all the stops to help two tourists in distress. Netizens who saw the story on Facebook praised the taxi driver's commendable honesty.
