Toby Lovegrove had a lifelong relationship with Glastonbury Festival

Glastonbury Festival has paid tribute to a much-loved crew member who died in Thailand.

Described as a "legend", Toby Lovegrove had a lifelong relationship with Glastonbury Festival. Toby was born in 1985 and died in Thailand on Thursday (February 10).

His friends are trying to raise funds on a crowdfunding website to bring him back to England and hold a suitable funeral.

Glastonbury Festival said on their website: "We're extremely sorry to report that a much-loved member of the Festival's crew, Toby Lovegrove, passed away suddenly in Thailand this week.

"Toby's family have worked at the Festival for many years, with Toby coming to Glastonbury from early childhood and going on to work as a lighting technician for the Glade and Silver Hayes areas. Toby was a hugely valued member of the Festival's crew and Glastonbury was, according to Toby's family, 'his favourite place on earth'.

"We send our thoughts and our love to Toby's family and his many friends."
