AOT enjoys profit growth

The government’s domestic and international tourism stimulus policies is a factor in the positive results for domestic aviation industry.

BANGKOK: -- Airports of Thailand (AOT) announced its net profit for the first quarter of fiscal year 2017 (October - December 2016) at Bt5.08 billion against Bt4.626 billion in the same period a year before.

The company reported the Stock Exchange of Thailand on Tuesday (Feb 14) that revenues from sales or services increased by 6.76 per cent as a result of an increase in aeronautical revenue of Bt254.32 million or 3.72 per cent and non-aeronautical revenue of Bt544.45 million or 10.93 per cent because of increasing in number of flights and passengers. Other income increased by Bt209.90 million or 57.82 per cent mainly from an increase in gain on foreign exchange.
