NAKHON PHANOM: -- THE Anti-Corruption Network Foundation yesterday urged the national police chief to launch an inquiry into the two forensic police officers who inspected the evidence in the 2005 hit-and-run case that led to the arrest of former teacher Jomsap Saen-muangkhot.

Jomsap has consistently maintained her innocence.

The inquiry into Pol Lt-Colonel Tossapol Thammawong and Pol Colonel Prathum Phrommee should be transparent and the results submitted to the Supreme Court via the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Court within 30 days, the group said.

Mongkolkit Suksintharanon, vice chairman of the foundation’s centre that takes complaints about cases allegedly involving scapegoats, submitted the request to Pol General Chakthip Chaijinda via deputy spokesman Pol Colonel Kritsana Pattanacharoen at the Royal Thai Police headquarters in Bangkok.

It appears they're still trying to get her!

Of course they are they have to stick to their empty guns. The loss of face would be tremendous. Guilt or innocence really does not matter.

"...the forensic officers who handled the crash evidence did not testify as prosecution witnesses..."

Maybe, the RTP lawyers decided that it was, "Better to Remain Silent and Be Thought a Fool than to Speak and Remove All Doubt" ???

Looking more likely that RTP could have trained monkeys to do a better job than the two "forensic" police officers cited by the group calling itself the Anti-Corruption Network Foundation.
