December 14, 200619 yr Apparently all new Chevrolets now come with a 5 year 200k warranty. And it seems that they have extended the warranty for existing car owners too... provided it is under 32 months old. Check it out here : Chebrolet 5 year warranty article on bkkautos.com Good news if you bought one recently... but I just hope that Toyota and Honda offer the same soon!!

Fair enough, I guess I could have typed "Check it out if your are interested" or "check it out if you didn't just buy a ford focus "or something similar. Anyway it seems that you don't have to pay for it with Chevy. It's just 5 years or 200,000 km in place of the old 3 year 100,000 km one. Edited December 14, 200619 yr by pal78
December 14, 200619 yr That is a realistic warranty 5 years and 200,000km, what goes wrong in 3 years 100,000km, the other companies will soon follow suit.
December 15, 200619 yr Yes, It's about time. I didn't know you had to pay for the Ford warranty...the Chevy warranty is free.
December 15, 200619 yr Author Yeah john1, that's what I hope too. I'm still not going to buy a Chevrolet, but hopefully it'll spur a bit of competition. I just noticed that Kia offer a 7 (seven!) year warranty in the UK now.
December 17, 200619 yr Since GM was doing so bad in sales it decided to change its warranyt to 5 years or 100,000 miles to help boost sales. Will have to wait and see if it helps.
December 17, 200619 yr pal, Kia's need the long warranty. They are cheaply made. Our neighbor had one. Half the engine compartment was plastic. After the transmission blew under a year of having it, they bought a Civic.
