Government orders crackdown on all copyright infringement activities

 

BANGKOK, 17 February 2017 (NNT) – Deputy Prime Minister for Public Security General Prawit Wongsuwan has ordered all relevant agencies to expediting work to crackdown on all copyright infringement activities in the Kingdom.

NBTC expects digital TV industry to grow more this year

 

BANGKOK, 17 February 2017 (NNT) – The Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) expects that Thailand's digital TV industry will continue to grow in 2017 after the audience base has increased by 50 percent.

DSI resumes search-and-arrest operation at Dhammakaya temple for the second day

BANGKOK: -- Department of Special Investigation (DSI) officials, police and soldiers resumed the search of Dhammakaya temple to locate it's honorary abbot Phra Dhammachayo after yesterday's failure to find him in over 12-hour of search-and-arrest mission.

Six Thais, foreigner arrested in Phuket for possession of drugs, guns and ammunition

PHUKET: -- Police arrested six Thai men and one foreign man on Tuesday and Wednesday when they were found to be in possession of a variety of drugs, firearms and ammunition. The arrests came as police continue with their ongoing anti-drug and crime campaign.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thai police hunting a fugitive Buddhist monk discovered medical equipment in the temple rooms where they had expected to find him and will keep searching, an officer said on Friday.
