Deputy Education Minister calls on Thais to commit to good deeds as homage to the late King Bhumibol

BANGKOK, 19 February 2017 (NNT) - Deputy Education Minister M.L. Panadda Diskul is calling on all Thais to commit to doing only good things and being honest as a homage to HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. 

M.L. Panadda’s call was made during the official opening of a new project to promote the STAR STEMS ideology, which focuses on encouraging each individual to pursue an honest profession, one that matches the individual's skills and provides sufficient income to take care of oneself and one’s family. 

The Deputy Education Minister, also offered a special lecture on being good citizens following in the foot steps of the late monarch. It is hoped to build such an awareness among a broader group of people, including the private sector and civil society. 

M.L. Panadda said that the notion of good citizens with self discipline is at the heart of the national effort to promote good deeds, wisdom and the development of Thailand. 

He also called on all at the ceremony to heed the message of the royal speeches, and addresses by the beloved King and apply their guidance in their daily lives for the betterment of society and the country.
