BANGKOK: -- THE NEWLY appointed chief executive officer of Charoen Pokphand Group, Suphachai Chearavanont, plans to transform the Thai conglomerate into “CP 4.0” by embracing innovation and the digital revolution.

The plan is in line with the government’s “Thailand 4.0” policy, which centres on using advanced technologies and innovations to add value to the economy and businesses.

Suphachai has said that his father, the tycoon Dhanin, told the group that it had to capitalise on innovations, robotics, logistics, and cloud and other digital technologies to strengthen its competitive edge, in line with global business trends.

Suphachai, who represents the third generation of the Chearavanont family business, has said he will consider enlisting members of the fourth generation of the family to help gear up all businesses in CP Group to the 4.0 era.

There must be at least 2 or 3 markets they haven't monopolized yet.

This 'monopoly'would never be allowed to exist in any free democratic economy. Such monopolies are not a force for economic strength but stifle the country's economy by preventing effective competition and innovation. The right thing to do is to break up such monopolies but that will NEVER happen as the family virtually own the Country.

Just done a quick internet search and, NOPE nothing left for them not to monopolise (except corruption).

4.0 what? Way to go maestro strike up the band. Lets hope in years to come you still have an audience to play to. I am watching such massive overkill here in business projections and profits its staggering. Lets just hope the end result the consumer does not come up dry or tapped out. Good luck on your next billion.

Would have thought it's the other way around...

CP will not stop until they own everything...

Why did 7-11 stop selling AIS refill?!

Why can True Move just change what channels they provide without problem?!

Because CP owns True Move

Who promotes Monsanto (GMO) seeds in Thailand?!

Who lobbied to the government to forbid home slaughter?!

Who is the largest animal feed producer in the world?!

CP

The Thai farmers are breaking their backs earning less and less while CP earn more and more riding on the back of the farmers!

I've stopped using 7/11 I hope they dont own Family mart and Tesco too.

Maybe the entire family should try to follow the example of people like Buffet, Gates, etc.in injecting some of their massive wealth back into helping others without expecting a monetary return to add to the family vault. Not the type of business people I worked for /with in the real world where you had to be competitive , provide good service and guarentee what services, equipment, produce you sold and that it was obtained legally by labor which were compensated fairly and retired to enjoy their senior years.

Correction......................" ............as these      family   families  virtually own the Country."
