Declaration Forms - Duty free or not?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, will do moving back to Thailand this week. I have a few questions on the declaration form/duty form. Was wondering if they're consider "Items free of duty", or if its not, what I need to do to make sure it passes and how to proceed with the items.

I'm mainly bring clothes, a few shoes.

But I'm bring some other stuff too:

About 400 baht.

USD bills.

1x Sunglasses (Carry-on)

1x Nintendo 3DS (Carry-on)

1x Laptop (Carry-on)

1x Router (Checked luggage)

1x PS4 Console w/ 2x Controllers and 1x headphones (Checked luggage)

10x PS4 Games (Checked luggage)

4x Blu-Ray Movies (Checked luggage)

1x PC Tool kit (Screws, anti-static, bits, etc) (Checked luggage)

1x RAM Kit (Checked luggage)

1x PC Mouse (Checked luggage)

Thank you for your time.

Whatever you do,,,, do NOT bring them in you hand-luggage!! You buy the stuff in your home-country, NOT duty free, and pack it down in you luggage-bags and pass the customs with the stuff in there....

If in hand-luggage you will lose some items to either gready customs officials, or nickpicking guys of the very same sort.

ps. Remove all price tags and etikettes, otherwise they will look new to the customs if caught.

Just to confirm, place them in my checked luggage instead of carry on correct?

Good point on price tagged, removed them already, but all those stuff are used except the Router, PC mouse and RAM Kit.

Yes Sir, that is how I always do it. Whatever I bring in my handluggage out of the ordinary, will be taken out by the offcicial that check your handlugage...

So in to the checked lugage, and hope the passing of the customs will be OK, it usually is..

I've had my bags checked once in 18 years, on average I pass through the airport twice a month.
