NARATHIWAT: -- One security volunteer was killed and two policemen injured in an ambush by gunmen hiding in roadside bushes as they chased a drug suspect’s car in Narathiwat’s Muang district on Tuesday morning.

 

As Muang Narathiwat deputy superintendant Pol Lt Colonel Apakorn Wirunpaksa led a 20-strong combined security team to search the house of drug suspect Busbal Ya, 26, in Tambon Bang Po of Muang district where they found 50 “yaba” pills.

 

Officers had spotted a suspicious Nissan car drive past the house and asked to search it.
