Can I get a two month tours visa at Mae Sot?

Featured Replies

I have some friends who need to get a two month tours visa, and they live in Phichit.....I see Mae Sot is only 2 hrs away from here.....any help.

Depending on their nationality, they may be able to get visa exempt entries of 30 days (extendable by an additional 30 days at an immigration office in Thailand on payment of 1,900 baht). There is no Thai consulate across the border from Mae Sot, so no visa of any kind is possible there.

I told them that I think Savannakhet would be a better place...

Savannakhet is an option, but only if they have bank statements showing at least the equivalent of 20K baht and proof of onward travel from Thailand.

Vientaine doesn't require tickets or bank statements and is probably the better choice if applying in Loas.
