Fatal gun attack at family giving alms

A man opened fire at his neighbour’s family members while they were giving alms offerings Tuesday morning resulting in one death and three injuries in Surin’s Muang district. Police were investigating the motive for the attack as of press time.

Prayut pledges ‘normal’ legal procedure regarding Shin tax case

Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha on Tuesday said that solutions regarding back taxes allegedly owed by the Shinawatra family linked to the multi-billion-baht Shin Corp sale must proceed by “normal” legal procedures and the rule of law.

App taxis must be registered: Land Transport Department

Exemption of fees for motorists during Songkran Festival

The Cabinet agreed to exempt fees for those using the Bangkok-Ban Chang (Route 7) and Kanjanapisek Road: Bang PainBang Phli (Route 9) from midnight of April 11 until April 18, said Deputy government spokesman Colonel Athisit Chaiyanuwat.

Thailand seizes rhino horns worth $5 million in biggest haul for years
