New warrant out for arrest of Phra Dhammajayo

BANGKOK, 14 March 2017 (NNT) - A new warrant has been issued against Phra Dhammajayo of Dhammakaya Temple for his failure to submit to arrest while the Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs has assured that searches of the temple will continue in a systematic fashion.

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has announced Thanyaburi Court has issued a new warrant for the arrest of Phra Dhammajayo, former abbot of Dhammakaya Temple, after he failed to answer to previous warrants and defied orders by the National Council for Peace and Order.

The DSI is also now looking into music being released by the temple, which it believes could be considered instigative and in violation of regulations imposed on the temple.

Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan has assured that authorities will continue to be sensitive in their search of Dhammakaya Temple for the wanted monk but stated special controls on the site will not yet be lifted. He also said reports of former political group leaders intervening in the issue will be investigated.

The atmosphere at the temple itself has remained peaceful despite some gatherings of followers around its perimeter. The temple has barred members of the press from entering its grounds at this time.

Another arrest warrant and now they are looking into music being released by the temple.

Jolly good show chaps and by the way,  the asylum is closing its doors at 6 pm tonight, please don't be late back.

And another waste of paper ecological tree system :cheesy::cheesy:

For the sake of the nation, could officials please stop embarrassing themselves.

Just when you thought they would keep quiet and wait, they just had to make another silly announcement regarding the chase for the elusive rabbit or Abbott.   Neither are coming out of their holes anytime soon.

That unholy man collects arrest warrants like normal people collect stamps. To each their own, I guess.

It reminds me of the Movie  "Catch me if you Can "

Looks like they are having the same problems

Go Monk Go

Maybe you can issue warrants your way into heaven?

I wish they would number these warrants so I can bring my score card up to date.

I thought they had stopped looking for him ?,now

a new warrant A.K.A. a useless piece of paper.

The police in Koh Tao is using medium for soving crimes. I guess when DSI is looking into the music they might have hired a DJ for finding the crimes and criminals.

I also sincerely hope that they have the warrant in modern e-mails, digitally signed and are showing it in mobile version to the temple and all others included. Otherwise they will have to add another environmental crime for using too much forest to create the paper trial. The only positive in that case would be that Greenpeace would take action, and they would probably catch the abbot encroaching the rainforest in Venezuela or something in his eager atempt to create a new colossal and massive temple to be the 8th wonder of the world. Totally in protection of the drug cartels.

In Europe we only need 1 warrant for 1 person :p. I doubt it is possible to have 2 warrants on same person.

I think every provincial court in the Kingdom has issued at least one arrest warrant.

Maybe the rationale is that more warrants somehow increases the likelihood of an actual arrest?

This ex abbott or monk is now a common criminal, why does he still have so many

followers? I hope the military keep the temple grounds on  lock down until they find and

send him to the courthouse, then to jail where he can preech all he wants.

Geezer

Oh goody!  Another warrant!   Progress indeed!
