Acting Dhammakaya abbot to submit to authorities later this month

BANGKOK, 17 March 2017 (NNT) – The acting abbot of Dhammakaya Temple has indicated he will turn himself into authorities later this month after the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) found clear evidence he engaged in unlawful stock trading.

The DSI has begun coordinating with the temple for Phra Thatacheewo to submit to arrest after find clear evidence he used temple funds to buy and sell stocks, violating national law. The DSI is also working with the Anti-Money Laundering Commission on the issue as well as the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

The monk has reportedly indicated he will meet with authorities at the end of this month.

Meanwhile, the DSI has ordered temple followers to fill in moats dug around several of its buildings, which were initially believed to be a deterrent for authorities searching for the group’s former abbot. Followers camped around the temple have also been asked to return to its interior as a bar on entrance has been lifted.

If iam not too busy. I will report. The Thai justice system is beyond belief !

One would think the DSI has learned their lesson with temple Abbott's. Why do they continue to allow delays and give advance warnings to these guys? Ridiculous!

Ha ha ha.... Later this month when I'm not too busy tweeting and thumbing my nose at you.

Gives him about 2 weeks to get a plane ticket and get out of Dodge. All these wayward monks still on run and one has his own airplane. I wonder if he had it repainted orange or saffron. I am sure they can pick you up at a mutually agreed on place unbeknownst to the BIB. Don't forget to pack a little fun money for yourself and replenish the wayward monks coffers. I wonder if they get refueled in the air so they do not have to land well except for you.

Yeah right.

There's no BS quite like this temple's BS.

"this" being a relative term.

This is the gift that never stops giving well for writing material anyways.

What absolute BS, just go and arrest him -  now.

Or you can come early next month. Whenever you're ready, Mr. Criminal.

It is so obvious to any falang/thai, This man as a so called  BUDHIST is so influentual with corrupt money, NO ONE IN  GOVT POWER WANTS TO ARREST HIM. Otherwise he implicates too many high profiled corrupt officials.

Mabe it's taken this long to cut the strings of implication to others in the Hi So ring of corruption

The tail wags the dog. Unbelievable!!

Certainly sounds like a definite maybe...

Hard to respect religious values when you read about stuff like this.

More than likely, a whole lot more of it going on and far more than you think

Do you have any supporting evidence to this claim?
