ISO a reliable private investigator

Featured Replies

Not sure if I'm posting int he correct forum, but I searched and couldn't find anything about this.  I'm in search of a private investigator to help locate my sister-in-law.  She's disappeared and won't answer my wife or MIL's phone calls.  No one seems to be able to find her. Does anyone know a reliable (trustworthy) PI for the purpose of locating a Thai national within the borders of the kingdom?  Thanks in advance for any help you might be be able to provide.

There are many PIs advertising their services online. All you need to do is type, private investigators Thailand, into Google search.

Most private investigators will not take on cases if they think clients have dubious reasons for wanting to find someone, such as, debts owed, jealous husband, wife or partner seeking revenge or from people wanting to find others to do them harm.

Have you tried searching, facebook or the social media?

Or, ask the other party for more money 'not to be found'.

That would be extortion and I doubt any credible private investigation agency would want to go that route and if a private individual tried that on he/she could end up serving a lot of jail time for blackmail and extortion.

I have seen many, does anyone know the whereabouts of a certain person? On facebook and on forums. I would never inform even if I knew the person unless the report was issued by the police or a credible news agency. But I guess there are those who would grass them up and why it`s best to not tell too much to anyone about one`s private life and not place too much trust in other people.
