March 20, 20179 yr Hi guys, I'm planning to do my SETV & holidays in Nepal in a month from now. Can anyone recommend any visa agency ? I fly in & out of Kathmandu on a weekend. If I wanted to do a SETV in Kathmandu I'd basically need to spend most of my holidays there. I prefer not to. Any recommendation & tips highly appreciated ! Best, Matt
March 20, 20179 yr This from the embassy website. http://www.thaiembnepal.org.np/?do=services&index=visa&lang=en Quote To prevent the security issue that may occur, the Embassy has reserved full rights to refuse the visa for the foreigner who are non-residence in Nepal and travel into Nepal for the tourist purpose. The foreigners who have visited Thailand before may be exemption for this standard.
March 20, 20179 yr It really is less clear, even than for other locations, whether the Thai consulate in Kathmandu will issue tourist visas and, if so, under what conditions. I plan a trip to Nepal myself at some point, and would be interested in knowing whether I would be able to get a Thai tourist visa there, or should plan to visit another country during the same trip for that purpose.

But yes, I do understand the limitation. 4 minutes ago, BritTim said: It really is less clear, even than for other locations, whether the Thai consulate in Kathmandu will issue tourist visas and, if so, under what conditions. Indeed not super clear. I've read some blogs from last 2 years after doing some google searches. It seemed that some people were able to obtain them. I will be going to Kathmandu regardless. Hopefully I'll get SETV, if not, then first visa on arrival this year which should be ok hopefully.

Hopefully, you will not need to fall back on a visa exempt entry.
