How many serious accidents where Thai drivers face no consequences because their excuse is the brakes failed?

A foreigner has a serious accident, with no injuries to innocent parties, and they are charged with reckless driving.

So corrupt here.

A charge of reckless driving may be in order here, if all were a normal playing field.

Every day we saw endless minibus, pick up crashes, and the driver often doing a runner, with no report on it ever again.

I would not question the charge, if I saw it levelled on every accident across the country.

But to single out a foreigner, maybe to suggest we are bad drivers, on a crash with no injuries seems harsh. Given its context in the bigger picture anyway.

Dont forget it was a hire car so the company will want to proceed with charges so the blame is put 100% on the driver so they can claim insurance money without any problems

hire car, as in rented, how do you know this?
