The person or persons devising the U-turns into a high speed highway had an idiot of an idea.

Lots of people on here blaming the driver making the U turn. In doing so most of you are applying the driving rules and laws of your own countries. In Thailand it is completely the norm for U turning drivers to expect oncoming cars to slow down. Happens all the time. It's the norm. At the speed that car was traveling it would have looked far enough away for the driver to complete a U turn. The BMW driver didn't see a bright white car in a well lit area? He didn't slow at all. He was probably drunk or stoned. Was he checked for substances? It's murder. Throw away the key. Clowns like this are why Thailand roads are consistently at the top when ranking the world's deadliest. And F his father and his lame apology on his son's behalf. Did you raise a man or a little B-snatch?
