Plastic recycling plant in Samut Prakan gutted by fire
By The Nation

BANGKOK: -- A massive fire burned down a plastic recycling factory in Samut Prakan on Monday morning, causing damage estimated at over Bt5 million.

Pol Capt Panyapol Boonsri, a deputy inspector of Bang Pu Police Station, said the fire started at 6.30am at Thai M Recycle in Tambon Bang Pu in Samut Prakan’s Muang district.

He said fire engines took nearly two hours to control the blaze.

The fire destroyed a pile of used plastics comprising vehicle parts and recycled plastic pellets and three plastic pellet machines as well as the entire building.

Panyapol said the fire was apparently caused by short-circuit following heavy rains.

Yes and the fuses of those machines were probably replaced by aluminiumfoil because they kept on blowing, so strange....

Au loh?? That means they do improve their technology sometimes which is worldnews! Thailand 4.0, use nails instead of alufoil to replace a fuse!

Lucky that samut prakan is not close to the beach where it rains a lot.....
