How Would You Spend 7+ Hrs At Suvarnabhumi

Featured Replies

I am arriving at Suvarnabhumi at 10:50 AM Friday on Korean Air, and depart again for at 6:55 AM for HongKong. I ask you: what to do with the hours in the interim?

In 8 hrs can I goto city and and come back to catch my flight?

Any other things I can do near the airport?

How much will it cost?

I hope I dont need a visa (I have US passport)

Thanks

Traffic as bad as it is, I'd say stay at the airport!!

Assume you mean that you will arrive at 10-50 PM or other way around...otherwise you will have a bit longer than 8 hours... :o

Walk around the airport with a notepad jotting down any problems that you see then report back here so we can have something to moan about. :o

Alternatively, take a good book with you. :D

I would book an Airport hotel, shower, order some food, have a nap and if there's time order a (foot)massage.

LaoPo

i will give some idea that you can go

1) The Ancient City

2)Crocodile farm

http://www.thaiwaysmagazine.com/bangkok_ad...odile_farm.html

(both places are not far from Suvarnabhumi)

3) The Emporium and some departmentstores on Sukhumvit Rd,

Take a taxi to Oon Nutch and then take the BTS sky train

you need 3-4 hrs for the round trip

Just go for a massage. It will waste a couple hours and relax you. I know I need a massage after dealing with air travel, especially if I have to go through a US airport. Talk about stress.

Are there massage parlors available inside airport?

I would go to Pantip Plaza in Bkk and check out all the computer gear and maybe buy a new digital camera and other bits of gear for my PC. I am a bit of a computer nerd. :o Oh and US passport you get a 30 day visa on arrival free.

I dont know about korean air but the last flight i had with a 8 hour wait for the connecting flight everybody on the same flight was given a hotel room near the airport, company policy! and that was with air jordan!! Check with your airline! :o
