snoop1130
Suspect Says Murder At Lumpinee Stadium Was Revenge Gone Wrong By Teeranai Charuvastra, Staff Reporter BANGKOK — Jirapan Koisap said he only meant to vent his anger at a Muay Thai referee he blamed for a 20,000 baht gambling loss. But, as it turned out, while he was beating the referee with a wooden stick in front of Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in northern Bangkok on Saturday, a security guard intervened. That’s when Jirapan’s getaway driver shot the guard dead, and both men fled the scene. sweatalot
A cowardly ambush - typical Thai behavior? (I am not aware of many incidents like that in other countries - at least not in the developed ones.) And beating the referee was ok but to shoot the guard was just collateral damage? webfact
Warrant issued for suspect in shooting death at boxing stadium By Khanathit Srihirandej The Nation BANGKOK: -- The Criminal Court on Wednesday issued an arrest warrant for a 44-year-old man who was accused of shooting dead a security guard at Lumpini Boxing Stadium in Bangkok last week, while his friend assaulted boxing referee Udom Deekrajang with a club. The warrant was issued for Yutthana Kularpmoung on charges of conspiring with another person to murder, conspiring to have a gun and ammunition in his possession without permission, conspiring to carry the weapon into a public place, and conspiring to assault another person. Yutthana remains at large. Yutthana and Jirapan Koysap, 35 – who is in custody after being arrested on Tuesday in the border area of Surin province – went to the stadium to attack Udom last Friday afternoon. When security guard Anucha Pathumma, 24, tried to intervene, Yutthana shot him dead. Udom, 59, suffered head injuries. Contrary to previous police suspicions that the duo was hired by a boxing gym owner who may have been angry over the result of a contest on Tuesday, Jirapan told police he attacked Udom for his own reasons. Jirapan said he lost Bt20,000 in a boxing bet and held Udom accountable. He said he asked Yutthana to help him attack the referee on a motorbike, but he did not know that Yutthana was carrying a loaded gun. sanukjim
Typical Thai reaction to any thing that they can not control.Since there have never been any true non corrupt courts or governments from the small hamlets to the top.The people react in the only way they know how.and that is violence. This is the product of the government control in LOS since the 1930s.. Yeah right. Just said the first thing that popped into their heads. As usual. It's fine to have suspicions, but voicing them to the press is plain stupid. NCC1701A
" Jirapan said he lost Bt20,000 in a boxing bet and held Udom accountable." He is gambling but somehow someone else is responsible. Typical. " He said he asked Yutthana to help him attack the referee on a motorbike..." Coward. " but he did not know that Yutthana was carrying a loaded gun." BS. Not going to say which ones.
Negita43
"When security guard Anucha Pathumma, 24, tried to intervene, Yutthana shot him dead. " Intervening to help another is cowardly?? You cannot say "typical Thai" cowardly action when another Thai's actions show the opposite

They only react violently when they have all the odds - weapons and back up. When they have no means of guaranteed victory it's all smiles and wais and sanook. Foghorn Leghorn
The usual Thai line of "it was not my fault" is trotted out yet again. This time it is the referee who caused the guard to be shot because he judged the fight differently to what punk no.1 would have hoped causing him to lose money thus making him bash said referee. Not only that, punk no.1 was not aware that his assistant, punk no.2, carried a gun. Therefore it was all punk no.2's fault.
darksidedog
Thiss guy is even more stupid than most. First he is gambling, which is illegal, he gets pissy when he loses, so goes with another to give the ref a kicking. Then his mate shoots a man dead, but he didn't know he had a gun? When is this idiot going to accept some responsibility? It his actions from the outset that led him to this point. Throw him in jail and leave him there till he rots.
