Cambodia takes bite out of app market

People can now order food and drinks with their smartphone after a Cambodian-developed e-commerce application called Tesjor came into operation. Logan Sean, chief operating officer of Pathmazing, that developed the Tesjor app, said the application allows customers a choice of either dining in or getting takeaways, along with the option of delivery at a specified time.
 

“Tesjor is suited for Cambodians because there is widespread use of smartphones in the country,” said Mr. Sean. Pathmazing is a company registered with the ICT Federation of Cambodia and specializes in building apps for “everyday solutions ”.
 

“Most of apps have been developed by foreigners and are mostly related to social media and games, and none for everyday Cambodian solutions,” said Mr. Sean. “Having seen that food and drinks are the main necessity for Cambodians and expatriates, Pathmazing came up with the Tesjor app which offers a wide range of services including food and drinks,” he added.
