Can people recommend really good live jazz bars/clubs please? I know of the Brasserie over by riverside but are there any others?

The Gallery, between Good View & Brasserie has a good jazz band. They're all Payap University folks, led by Ajarn Te - quite talented jazz guitarist.

I've seen the band mentioned and very good they are to as was the young lads doing blues covers who used to play at the same venue (maybe they alternate?). The entrance is actually right next to Brasserie, just to the left if you are facing the entrance where the bikes are parked or through the Gallery restaurant and to the right.

You can easily make a night of it in basically one spot by having dinner at Gallery (which I enjoy despite it being high on the tourist circuit), catch the jazz band who finished around 2230 when I was there then next door to Brasserie to catch the maestro who high season is playing 2 hours from 2300 but he doesn't normally cover jazz.
