Passport Office during Songkran

Featured Replies

Next week (after 13th) I have to visit Passport Office in ChaengWattana but I'm not sure how Songkran affects opening hours. Are government offices closed from 13th to 16th April? Thanks for any info.

Closed 13th and 14th, The 15th and 16th is the weekend so would be closed anyway.

Also closed Monday 17th (substitute holiday for the 15th), which you have clearly forgotten about.

Closed 13, 14.

Closed 15. 16 anyway (Sat, Sun).

(Likely) Mon 17th also closed as it was pronounced a substitution for 15th.

Expect crowds on Tuesday 18th. Set the alarm.

Very many thanks for this - most useful.

Peter P, I have to go a later than you, May,  to the office for renewing my passport and I have seen information stating I will need to make an appointment first, do I have the wrong information.

It's the first time I'm going to that office to apply for a passport so I'm not sure if I need to make an appointment. I didn't hear about it before but I'll try to verify that by phone.

I can't believe people actually ask questions like this.

What is it they don't understand about Public Holidays.

And before you ask the banks will be closed as well.
