April 10, 20179 yr Prayut leads visit to Prem’s house in mark of respect By The Nation BANGKOK: -- Privy Council President General Prem Tinsulanonda praised Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha for his determination in wanting to bring prosperity to the country. To mark the traditional Thai New Year, also known as Songkran, Prayut on Monday led Cabinet members, Armed Forces commanders-in-chief, the national police chief and other top officials to call on Prem at his Si Sao Thewes residence. It is a tradition for the Cabinet and top military figures to pay respects to Prem, a former premier. “To be here in unity with several Cabinet members and the military top-brass chiefs shows that we can trust the premier as our leader,” Prem said. “As long as he does not become disheartened, he will succeed in everything.” “If I were the PM or everybody here, I would be proud of myself to have an opportunity to work for the country and return happiness to Thais people.” Prem wished Prayut’s success in achieving everything he desired.
