Boiler room Brits arrested in the Philippines

Looks like another case of Brits behaving badly abroad - but they dispute the charges, as would be expected.

Andrew Robson, Graham Allan Bennet and Dominic Whellams were arrested in the Cavite region on Monday by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). The trio are charged running a boiler room scam via their company Plustel Solution, which called unsuspecting investors outside of the Philippines and used high-pressure sales tactics to sell “worthless, overpriced, and non-existent securities to investors”, according to a statement issued by the Philippines Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
