Visa extension Pattaya

Featured Replies

Hey!

I know this is information I could search for myself. But I wanted to get information from someone who has had experience recently incase there was any changes.

I'm currently on a 60 day tourist visa.

How do I go about extending for an extra 30 days? Is it a simple process?

I read on another post from 2016 you need to get your landlord to fill in paperwork also?

It's the first time I've ever extended a visa here in Thailand so I assume I should have less issues.

Cheers !

It is a fairly simple process to get the 30 day extension of your 60 day entry from your tourist visa at immigration in Jomtien for a fee of 1900 baht.

You will need a completed TM7 form ( download and print 2 sided Fillable TM7 form.pdf ) with a 4 X  cm photo attached. Copies of passport photo page, visa, entry stamp and TM6 departure card.

Immigration will want a completed TM30 form ( tm30.pdf ).from your landlord.

Same form and required copies.

Morning would be best.

Thanks Ubonjoe, I had a look at the form. Reason for extension in my case is medical, I have on going treatment at the hospital here.
Would it be silly to state that on the form?

My experience from the end of last February:

I had 30 days tourist visa. Few days before. I applied for extension. I needed  oonly one more week. I had a certificate from the hotel that showed that i was staying there. It was enough, I got 30 more days !!

Best to put tourism.

To apply for an extension for medical care you would need a letter from a doctor. If needed you can get an extension up to 90 days for medical care.
