Good speaker cable source

Featured Replies

Any suggestions where to find 4 core speaker cable such as online? Want 4 core so cable runs can be neat and compact. I have looked in all of the audio shops, electrical shops, and everywhere else I can think of and only see 1 or 2 core.

Does it have to be super-dooper "speaker" cable (oxygen-free copper etc. etc.)?

If not 4-core "control" cable is reasonably readily available which would do the job nicely.

Have a look at SK Universal, they do mail order and "Bell" the contact person writes excellent English.

Monoprice which is constantly ranked one of the best sells their speaker wire on eBay and they are set up with the global shipping program. I bought my speaker wire from them and it took about 10 days to get delivered to my door. The global shipping program is a little more expensive than regular post but I've never had a problem with import duty. The link is for 18 gauge but they do have 12, 14, 16 gauge or pretty much whatever you want. Make sure you buy from the monoprice eBay store rather than a 3rd party offering monoprice wire.

Lamp cord is what is recommended by most audio experts, the case for expensive audio cables is purely marketing for companies like Monster etc.

Even BOSE recommends just using copper cable found in most hardware stores since polarity is all ready marked
