Paul Collins
I am from the U.K. I have been resident in Thailand for the last 10 months, staying here on a family visa as my wife is Thai. Because i am staying here on a family visa, is it possible for me to obtain a work visa and if so, (a) are they easy to get (b) how would i apply. I'd appreciate any advice, thanks in advance
ubonjoe
There is no visa that allows you to work. Only a work permit allows you to work. If you have a non-o visa or extension of stay based upon marriage to a Thai you can get a work permit and work. You have to be working for a registered company or partnership to get a a work permit.
