Visa Extension Bangkok

Featured Replies

My current on arrival 30 day tourist visa expires tomorrow on the 18th. Tried to get a 30 day extension today but the bangkok immigration office is closed due to  Songkran. Is it possible to extend the visa on the date it actually expires or does it need to be done before the specified date.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks

You have a 30 day visa exempt entry (not a tourist visa).

You can apply for the extension tomorrow. You don't have to do it early but it is best to do it early if you can.

Be prepared for huge crowds tomorrow.

Thank you for the quick response - much appreciated.

Just a quick follow up question, will be filing this extension application shortly at some point today - does it matter what address you put down, can it be either a condo or hotel? Thanks

The address does not matter other than it must be in Bangkok.
