BANGKOK: -- The alleged Laotian drug lord Xaysana Keopimpha, arrested in Bangkok on January 20 this year, was escorted from Bangkok Remand Prison to the Criminal Court this morning to hear charges.

His Thai lawyer Warakorn Pongtanakul told reporters that his client was very worried about the charged and would deny all charges brought against him by the Narcotic Suppression Bureau (NSB) police.

He said Xaysana was worried because he earlier admitted to the charges during the interrogation process as he didn’t know the procedure and the language.

But at the testimony today to the court, he would defend his innocence and would deny all charges.

The court appointed today for him to hear the charges filed by the NSB and whether he would deny or admit.

Sorry to nit-pic but Laotian comes from French and is not a real word in English. The adjective is Lao, as in Lao Language, Lao food and even the name of the country is Lao PDR (Lao People's Democratic Republic).

Mr Xaysana is lao or if you really want to describe him as a Lao drug lord.

Yep, I am also very sorry to read what you just sign. So, that must mean that a man that comes from Germany isn´t really a German. He is now considered to be A Germany man. Hmmmm?????

About the verdict coming, it´s probably going to be like a stiff fine for something they just don´t have full proof for. He is going to accept that hefty fine, be deported to "Lao PDR" and in return get all other cases against him thrown out of court. Does that sound believable?
